Thunderton House, Elgin

Now a pub, "The Thunderton" dates back t the 1500s, and started life as the Royal Residence used by the king on visits to Elgin. It later became the town house of the Earls of Moray, and it was here that Bonnie Prince Charlie spent the night on his way to the Battle of Auldearn, and then Culloden.
